Autodromo Nazionale Monza

From the synergy between Performance iN Lighting and GEWISS, an integrated project was developed for the Monza National Circuit, combining lighting and power distribution within a single infrastructure. The project leverages the complementary expertise of the two Group companies, delivering a comprehensive solution to support the activities that take place in preparation for major events hosted at the circuit.

GEWISS, in particular, supplied terminal power distribution solutions designed to ensure operational continuity, safety, and flexibility in an environment characterized by constantly changing requirements and temporary installations associated with event operations.

The solution involved the deployment of Q-MC 200B power distribution pedestals in various configurations, designed to supply both single-phase and three-phase loads with different power ratings, meeting the needs of the infrastructures and activities operating in the designated areas. The pedestals feature a UV-resistant technopolymer enclosure, IP55 protection rating, IK10 impact resistance, IP67 industrial sockets, integrated miniature circuit breakers and residual current devices, as well as LED lighting on both sides. The different configurations developed also make it possible to adapt power distribution to the specific supply requirements of operational activities. 

One of the most distinctive aspects of the project was the custom-designed base developed specifically for this application. It allows the pedestals to be installed for events such as Grand Prix weekends and subsequently removed and stored when not in use. This solution combines robustness, ease of management, and the flexibility needed to accommodate the operational dynamics of the circuit.

Overall, the project included 30 power distribution pedestals across four different configurations, each paired with a dedicated base, confirming GEWISS’ contribution to the development of a safe, modular energy infrastructure aligned with the requirements of a highly complex international venue such as the Monza National Circuit.

The presence of GEWISS solutions highlights the Group’s ability to integrate complementary expertise in lighting and space electrification, providing a coordinated and innovation-driven approach for operationally complex environments such as the Monza National Circuit.
