PEP Ecopassport® is one of the leading international programmes for the verification and publication of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for products in the electrical, electronic and HVAC-R sectors.
As part of this programme, PEP (Product Environmental Profile) declarations are Type III environmental declarations that comply with the requirements of the international ISO 14025 standard. They represent the primary reference for communicating the environmental performance of products in the electrical, electronics, heating and cooling industries.
The Product Environmental Profile is an environmental product declaration that provides detailed information on the environmental impacts of a product throughout its life cycle, from the extraction of raw materials to production, from distribution to use, up to final disposal based on the LCA methodology (Life Cycle Assessment).
Through PEP Certifications, companies evaluate and communicate to all stakeholders the carbon footprint of their products while, at the same time, identifying potential improvements in terms of environmental sustainability.
