DESCRIPTION

As part of EXPO 2015, the futuristic Palazzo Italia building was fully equipped with an integrated GEWISS system. The technical element of the system features CVX cabinets, a Domo Center, junction boxes and modular devices. The white GEO and LUX plates serve as the surface-mounted controls, and the lighting system, too, bears the GEWISS brand, with modern Smart [4] and Street [O3] floodlights, featuring led technology for superb light quality and low operating costs.

In the heart of the Alps, the capital of the Canton of Ticino is an elegant medieval city, boasting stunning, impeccably refurbished mansions, luxuriously decorated hotels and the famous neoclassical theatre. In such a prestigious context, the lighting system selected must be able to blend into the environment in a discreet and harmonious manner, to enhance the architecture and make streets and squares safe. GEWISS devices have successfully met both of these requirements, and local administrators for the Swiss city have expressed appreciation not only with regard to the aesthetic result, but also with reference to the recognised advantages that reliable lighting systems requiring minimal maintenance offer.

City of Winterlingen

Winterlingen is a German municipality located in the southern part of the country, about 90 km from Soccarda. The architecture is specific to that region – attractive detached houses with sloping roofs in a lush rural setting. The municipal administration entrusted GEWISS with the replacement of all municipal street lighting, installing Road LED [5] fittings, ensuring safety and high quality lighting to the local community.

Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College needed to improve existing lighting levels throughout the campus, in particular in car parks, bus stops, and public walkways. The lighting was outdated and giving off poor light levels, and this project provided the opportunity to switch from SON lamps to more energy efficient LED lighting.
