EQUIPMENT AND NOTES
CHARACTERISTICS: flush-mounted thermostat for controlling heating/cooling systems with manual temperature management and shutdown option. Control algorithms for two-way systems: two points (ON/OFF), proportional-integral (PWM). The thermostat can control a solenoid valve for heating or cooling via local contact or ZigBee. In the case of ZigBee control, the solenoid valve must be controlled via one of the following connected actuators: ZigBee GWA1521, GWA1522, GWA1523, GWC2X859, GWA1301. The thermostat is equipped with integrated temperature and humidity sensors. The thermostat has an input for an NTC sensor (GW10800 NTC sensors can be used) to measure the outside temperature (e.g., to compensate for the temperature measured locally by the thermostat or for protection in the case of underfloor heating/cooling).
APPLICATIONS: climate control (heating or cooling) of a residential unit or area; possibility to manage a daily or weekly heating/cooling profile via app. The device measures humidity; if a threshold (which can be defined during configuration) is exceeded, a dehumidification system can be activated via ZigBee and the measurement can be displayed/notified on the app.
Use in traditional non-connected systems: the connected thermostat can also be used in traditional non-connected systems. In this case, it does not need to be configured via the app, and the NTC sensor input can only be used to compensate for the temperature measured locally by the thermostat.
