Orobikart - Bergamo Circuit

Located in Curno, just outside Bergamo, Orobikart Bergamo Circuit is one of the most renowned go-kart tracks in the Lombardy region. A fast and technical circuit, it regularly hosts training sessions, official competitions and recreational events for enthusiasts and amateurs alike.

To further enhance the quality of the racing experience, the owners of Orobikart Bergamo Circuit entrusted GEWISS with a complete lighting retrofit designed to improve performance, visibility and sustainability across the entire track.

The relamping project involved supplying and installing a high-performance LED system, fully delivered by GEWISS as a turnkey solution. Specifically, 46 Smart[PRO] 2.0 2M floodlights with asymmetric optics were installed on eight 12-meter-high lighting towers. This configuration was carefully engineered to provide optimal light distribution throughout the karting facility while complying with strict regional regulations on light pollution.

Thanks to the optical quality of the luminaires and the CSP LED technology used, the Orobikart Bergamo Circuit track now benefits from an average illuminance level exceeding 100 lux, in full compliance with UNI EN 12193 - Class III, the standard for non-professional sports lighting. The light is uniform, glare-free and offers excellent color rendering, significantly enhancing visibility and safety for drivers, operators and spectators.

The new system has delivered over 50% energy savings compared to the previous lighting setup, with a tangible reduction in operating costs. Maintenance requirements are also kept to a minimum, thanks to the durability and reliability of GEWISS floodlights, specifically designed for intensive use in outdoor environments.
