The Pietro Bibolini football pitch in Lerici is based in the natural setting of Falconara Park, overlooking Punta Galera and the sea just outside the breakwater of La Spezia. Bibolini is a wonderful example of a pitch that uses the latest artificial turf, and it is lit entirely by 40 GEWISS Smart [PRO] LED floodlights. The lighting replacement, which was part of a full renovation of the facilities, has provided advantages - from uniform lighting across the pitch, to massive savings in electricity consumption, which has fallen by 48% compared with the previous lighting system.

On the Sarnico pitch, the 4 lighting towers must ensure perfect lighting across the entire playing field, from the corners to the centre of the pitch, more than 80 metres from one another. For this reason, each tower has been equipped with 13 GEWISS Smart [PRO] devices, providing just the right amount of light (with over 100 lux on the ground on average, and a degree of uniformity which far exceeds the reference parameters) and ensuring a reduction in energy consumption of more than 80%. Unlike traditional solutions, GEWISS led devices can be switched on or off individually and remotely, with no need to allow for heating or cooling of the lamps.

On the San Pellegrino pitch, the previous midfield lighting only emitted 50 lux of light, while near the corners, this level was just 30 lux. After installing seven twomodule Smart [PRO] led devices, a much more uniform lighting result was achieved, with a more realistic light quality. The end result: the amount of light across the entire surface of the pitch has been tripled, and energy consumption has been slashed by two thirds.
