On the San Pellegrino pitch, the previous midfield lighting only emitted 50 lux of light, while near the corners, this level was just 30 lux. After installing seven twomodule Smart [PRO] led devices, a much more uniform lighting result was achieved, with a more realistic light quality. The end result: the amount of light across the entire surface of the pitch has been tripled, and energy consumption has been slashed by two thirds.

The work carried at the Youth Club Sports field in Chiuduno represents one of the first achievements of the Football Innovation project. Five Smart [PRO] devices with two modules have been installed on each of the four existing towers. The difference in terms of light quality was clear to see: from an average of around 70 lux on the ground in the previous system to 100 lux, with much more uniform lighting and a significantly more "realistic" light quality. The improvements in terms of safety and visual comfort are accompanied by a reduction in energy consumption and operating costs of around 80%. Designed and manufactured in Italy, Smart [PRO] was created by GEWISS to revolutionise sports lighting in italy.

''Achille & Cesare Bortolotti'' Municipal Stadium

On the Sarnico pitch, the 4 lighting towers must ensure perfect lighting across the entire playing field, from the corners to the centre of the pitch, more than 80 metres from one another. For this reason, each tower has been equipped with 13 GEWISS Smart [PRO] devices, providing just the right amount of light (with over 100 lux on the ground on average, and a degree of uniformity which far exceeds the reference parameters) and ensuring a reduction in energy consumption of more than 80%. Unlike traditional solutions, GEWISS led devices can be switched on or off individually and remotely, with no need to allow for heating or cooling of the lamps.
