City of Bellinzona Projects

City of Bellinzona

In the heart of the Alps, the capital of the Canton of Ticino is an elegant medieval city, boasting stunning, impeccably refurbished mansions, luxuriously decorated hotels and the famous neoclassical theatre. In such a prestigious context, the lighting system selected must be able to blend into the environment in a discreet and harmonious manner, to enhance the architecture and make streets and squares safe. GEWISS devices have successfully met both of these requirements, and local administrators for the Swiss city have expressed appreciation not only with regard to the aesthetic result, but also with reference to the recognised advantages that reliable lighting systems requiring minimal maintenance offer.

The equipment of temporary markets can be managed by providing the right type of lighting with devices aimed at enhancing urban lighting system, but also with the installation of terminals for the distribution of energy, water, broadcasting, telephone and data signals.

Sir John Deane’s College Lighting

Sir John Deane’s College

Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College needed to improve existing lighting levels throughout the campus, in particular in car parks, bus stops, and public walkways. The lighting was outdated and giving off poor light levels, and this project provided the opportunity to switch from SON lamps to more energy efficient LED lighting.
